Beloved Our Savior’s Family,
We are follow the suggested guidelines and have moved to an outdoor service at 10am on Sunday as well as an online service at 10am on Sunday. Please feel free to attend whatever service you are comfortable attending.
Our goal is to love and care for those most at risk from COVID-19. If you fall into the “high-risk” category for COVID-19, please feel free to stay home and worship with us online. Of course, if you are not feeling well, please stay home and worship online and do NOT come to campus.
Online worship this weekend: Our online worship services are available on Facebook, You Tube and our website at www.oursaviors.org. We stream on Sunday at 10:00AM.
YOUTUBE: Did you know that you can also stream our weekend services on YouTube? Just go to Youtube.com and search “Our Saviors Palm Springs.” We have a Our Saviors channel where you will find all of our worship services going forward. Please subscribe, so you’ll be notified anytime we post something to YouTube!
I will continue to make communion available in service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month and through drive-through communion on the 1st and 3rd Sunday’s of each month from 11:30AM-12:00pm.
Remember, when we make good decisions, we move one day closer to the end of this crazy COVID-19 season!
We will have our yearly congregational voters meeting on Sunday, December 6th, 2020 after our 10:00am service. We will meet in the court yard and encourage everyone who can attend to do so. We will approve a budget for 2021, elect new elders and discuss the state of the church. See you there.
We are creating a safe place for our first responders in palm Springs by creating a sanctuary for them in our prayer room. They will be able to enter at anytime of the day or night and use the restroom, grab some healthy snacks or just sit in quiet and pray for a moment. It will be a blessing too many of our first responders.
We are also looking for your help. We want to have plenty of cards and letters thanking the first responders for there sacrifice and service. Could you please take a moment and write a thank you card, write a letter or in any other way express your thank you to these men and women. We will display these letter on the bulletin boards in the prayer room. You may send the cards and letters to the church office or drop them off on Sunday at service.
Thank for your help!
Greetings in the name of Christ!
What a fantastic time of year this is. I love this time of year. It seems like people are in a better mood, and there is joy and excitement in the air, even during this year. I hope that you are filled with joy and peace as you prepare for Christmas and the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I wanted to call to your attention the day of Tuesday, December 1st. This day is a National Day of Giving, #GivingTuesday. The National Day of Giving encourages giving back. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. After we have given thanks for all that we have and are thankful for, after spending the weekend shopping and looking for the best deals possible, this day reminds us to give to those charities that are most important to our lives and have had an impact on our lives. It’s a great reminder to lift others up during a generous time of year. On this Tuesday, after Thanksgiving, individuals, families, businesses, community centers, and students worldwide will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and give.
I am asking you to please consider taking part in #GivingTuesday by making a special donation to the ministry of Our Savior’s Palm Springs. Your generosity has blessed us during this year, and I thank you for your gifts and support. Yet, we find ourselves short of our giving target for 2020 by $80,000. Any help towards making up this difference is a true blessing.
Our Savior’s Palm Springs has had a significant impact during this year. We have made connections with more worshipers online. We have continued to bless our community in impactful yet straightforward ways and hope to continue to move our ministry forward in the coming year. To accomplish this, we continue to need your generosity and support. Please prayerfully consider a donation to Our Savior’s Palm Springs as we celebrate #GivingTuesday and move to the close of this year.
